Fresh Fish Served Daily

I took Thursday and Friday off last week as a birthday present to myself, and did lots of good stuff.

Did some necessary winter clothes shopping. I probably need to do more, but I don’t think I can bring myself to walk into a store until January. (They were playing Christmas music and the trees and decorations were already up, on Nov 9th. If they are starting this early, I will be totally sick of it all before December even rolls around, and I would like to enjoy my holidays thankyouverymuch.)

Caught a matinee of Saw III. Cool storyline, but there was too much bone-breaking. That’s just about the only kind of gore that makes me sqeamish (as it feels more realistic). Probably good that Dane sat this one out.

Ate at Stoney River for the birthday meal. The steak is very good, but we go for the poppyseed rolls with cinnamon butter. Yum.

Friday lunch at Ru San’s for their buffet. All you can eat sushi makes mouths happy.

Picked up some new crafting books at B&N, and some supplies at JoAnn’s. The new obsessions are wire and bead jewelry and soapmaking (with lye and everything). I blame Craftster.

Dane’s mom and stepfather visited overnight, and we all had lunch with my parents Saturday.

I hurt my knee during the last soccer game of the season on Sunday. I landed with my leg straight and jammed it or something, it was horribly painful. If it doesn’t start getting better in a few days it’s off to the doctor with me.

Played lots of Guitar Hero 2 Sunday evening. I’ve finally started venturing into Hard mode a bit, and I’ve found that playing Bass or Rhythm guitar in co-op is a good way to get started on Hard.

Now I have a full five day work week, which seems incredibly difficult and unfair after such a nice long weekend. At least I have a two day work week to look forward to for Thanksgiving week!
