a weekend of firsts
Posted in food, I like things, television on 03/02/2006 09:55 am by sushiThis weekend can be easily summarized by starting any sentence with the phrase “so I finally…”
Saturday was my first trip to IKEA. Oh, the interior decorating joy. Sunday afternoon was my first time at The Flying Biscuit. All of the food was very good, but the best was the nummy cranberry-apple butter for the biscuits. To top it off Dane and I finally watched the Battlestar Galactica miniseries pilot thingie, which I actually liked a lot. Now I must watch the rest of the series.

I love the Flying Biscuit. Try their omelets and pancakes the next time you go. Fantastic food.

Those oatmeal pancakes ARE good, but I wasn’t impressed by the biscuit, sadly enough.
Were the biscuits warm and/or soft when you went?

I had a Clifton omlette. Mmm, goat cheese.
I would classify the biscuits as “soft”. In general I am not a huge fan of biscuits, since most of the ones I have had taste just like toast. These I liked because they had a nice texture, but the cranberry-apple butter really made them for me.
