Nintendo DS cozy

Here’s my finished Nintendo DS cozy. I used Noro Kureyon yarn, which is a self-striping wool, then felted it lightly. The pattern is adapted from the PDA cases pattern in Alterknits. It only took me a few hours to knit the whole thing, since it is done on large needles. I may also add a small pocket to hold a game or two.
Look for more pictures in the gallery later. The camera is having a hard time capturing the complex colors, but I’ll do my best.

Pretty. I don’t suppose you can knit a Cobra Crimson Guard uniform/costume can you?

Knit? Probably not. Sew? Maybe.

Kureyon is awesome, but I hate felting it. It usually takes 5-6 trips through the washer plus a plunge into ice water to get it to the right density.
But your cozy looks awesome!

Yeah, I ran it through the washer about 5-6 times and you can still feel the stitches a bit. I couldn’t felt it much more though, since my calculations were a bit off and it was threatening to get too small for the DS. I really like the whole idea of felting stuff though, and I’ve already made a felted mouse for the cats.
