Haunting Ground

Both are by Capcom, and both feature a rather fetching main character whose primary weapon is her ability to run and hide. I got rid of Clock Tower 3 because it eventually got so frustrating I practically threw the controller across the room. There was a huge lack of hiding spots, and Alyssa runs so slowly that it became nearly impossible to get away from enemies. Haunting Ground took what worked in Clock Tower and added a few things to make it much more enjoyable to play. Fiona is a bit of a delicate flower, but she’s not completely useless like Alyssa was. Her main defense is still running away, but she is also able to kick, push, and use items to hinder enemies. She also has Hewie as her canine defender. Hewie can search rooms for traps and items, and attack enemies to give Fiona time to hide. So far it’s an enjoyable game, if a bit heavy on random enemy encounters.
