ice cream in winter
Posted in food on 01/18/2005 02:10 pm by sushiI ordered my first Woot today. An ice cream maker, list price $80, $50 on amazon, $20 with $5 shipping on Woot. It’s a refurb, but still a great deal. It must have been so cheap because it’s about 20 degrees outside right now, but I expect to be making all manner of ice cream/ice milks/sorbets/gelato when it gets warmer.

I totally forgot about WOOT. I’ll have to give it a look again when I think of it.
Ice cream makers are THA BOMB. Don’t forget the rock salt.

This one doesn’t need no stinkin’ rock salt. It’s this container thingie that you stick in the freezer, and it has some magical stuff in it that freezes and makes the ice cream.
